Spring News

Hello All,
Bring on the nice spring weather! This week is celebrating going into spring and give winter the boot! Tuesday is Caribbean day with flip flops and spring colors. Wednesday will be Wacky Wednesday on March 17th. We celebrate school spirit day on Friday with red and gold colors.

We are busy working in the classroom on space projects for Reading. The students are enjoying working on the computers for their project. They are very imaginative in their projects. In Math, students are working on multiplication 3-digit by 2-digit and 3-digit by 3-digit numbers. Please have your child practice their multiplication facts.
During Science, we are doing experiments with Food Chemistry. They are trying to see which liquids and foods are considered to have starch, glucose, and protein. We are also being the unit on animals. For Social Studies, we are now working on the time past the Civil War. The students were studying the Civil War.

We have finished the MAPs testing for this winter and have written our Winter writing prompts.

Thank you to all who attended parent-teacher conferences. It is always interesting to see how much the students have grown by this time of year.

An assembly will be held on Wednesday, March 17th with the Climb Theater.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Have a great week!
Ms. Hagen
